The filling is gorgeous, not at all too sweet so I don't feel too guilty eating it. The cardamon flavour in the dough was well balanced and tasty, and the slice felt big enough to share (so we did).
So tasty and well baked! My English husband loved it, will definitely be buying again!

I’ve tried cinnamon buns all over town, but these are on a completely different level! Incredibly soft, perfectly spiced, and served warm, with an incredible smell. Cannot rate them enough!

Ordered a bespoke Danish style layer cake for my birthday. It was vanilla sponge, filled with coffee patisserie custard and roasted hazelnuts, topped and covered with coffee flavoured fresh cream, roasted hazelnuts and chocolate flakes. Oh my goodness, everything about it was amazing! The sponge was so light and fluffy. The cake wasn't overly sweet and the flavours were perfectly balanced. Everyone loved it! I'll definitely be ordering another! Thank you!
The dough is soft and there is a good amount of cinnamon in it! I prefer my korvapuusti a tad sweeter, but we still destroyed these so quicky I forgot to take a picture 😂

I should've taken a photo of it before I started eating but I couldn't wait to shovel it into my mouth... And I don't even like cinnamon! So much nicer than any cinnamon buns I've had in the past that I only ate because they were 99% sugar. Wonderful flavour, highly recommended!

This cake was for my mum's 80th birthday party. The taste was amazing. The sponge was so light. Everyone enjoyed it it soon all got eaten.

The mocha slice traybake is pure perfection. The rich chocolate and bold coffee flavors blend beautifully, creating a deep, satisfying taste in every bite. It’s moist, indulgent, and perfectly balanced—not too sweet, just incredibly delicious. An absolute favourite!

I’ve ordered so many different bakes from Mark and they always exceed any expectations that I have. From the cakes to buns to gingerbread, they’re a hit with the kids too and they always end up asking me to buy more 😂 if you’ve not tried them yet, you’re missing out!!

Purchased a mansikkatäytekakku as a birthday cake for my husband and it was delicious. We’d had a family member buy the same from here and couldn’t get enough so knew we needed to order again. OUR STORY
Nord Bakes started with a taste of home.
I grew up in Turku - Finland, surrounded by the traditional foods and bakes that came with family life and celebrations — especially at Christmas.
After moving to the UK, I found myself missing those familiar flavours.
So I started making them myself.
What began as a way to recreate the flavours of home grew into Nord Bakes — sharing Finnish favourites and the wider traditions of Nordic baking, handmade here in Market Harborough.

You can arrange collection from us in Market Harborough during the week, or collect from Nord Bakes at Harborough Market on Saturdays.
If you're visiting us at the Saturday market and have your eye on something specific, we recommend pre-ordering online so it's waiting for you — some of our most popular bakes can sell out.
